I caught the “travel bug” when I was a young child growing up in North Platte, Nebraska. Each summer we hopped in the car and drove to a fun destination. There is nothing like a road trip with three kids in the backseat fighting over personal space. Many times dad threatened to turn around and go home, but we were able to continue on our way. My parents loved to travel and we went to many fascinating places over the years. Car and train travel soon turned to flying the friendly skies, which let us explore further destinations. 
 

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was a public school teacher for many years. Spending my days with first and second graders enriched my life in many ways. Now that I've retired from teaching in Kearney Public Schools, I am able to spend more time helping people make their travel dreams come true! 

My husband Roger and our son Scott have enjoyed many family vacations over the years. Roger is in the tourism industry, as Director of the Kearney Visitors Bureau. Our travels have taken us across the United States. We visited many historical sites such as presidential libraries and Civil War battlefields. Washington D.C. is a favorite place for our family to visit and we know the city well!

Working for Custom Cruises & Travel has allowed me to expand my business and promote our agency in the Kearney area. I specialize in group travel such as “girlfriend getaways,” couples, families, multigenerational, and special interest groups.

Over thirty years ago, a group of “teacher friends” talked about how much fun it would be to go to Las Vegas for a few days. Our trip to Las Vegas was the first of many fun trips with friends for our annual “girlfriend getaway.” Our “girlfriend getaways” have taken us all around the United States, to Europe, and most recently, we sailed the Mediterranean from Italy to Turkey.

I specialize in group travel to New York City and Washington D.C., both places I love to visit. I've enjoyed helping people plan their "beach" trips to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Grand Cayman. Multigenerational travel is taking my clients to Disney World and cities around the United States. Special interest groups have traveled to Napa Valley and the Czech Republic.

Working in the travel industry has provided me the opportunity to cruise and I love sharing those experiences with others. My husband and I enjoy hosting travelers on Alaska Land/Cruise tours. Anytime Roger can get to Alaska and do a little fishing, he comes home a happy man! In addition to Alaskan cruises, I've hosted cruises from Venice, Italy to Kusadasi, Turkey; with stops in Slovenia, Croatia and many Greek Islands. Sailing from Monte Carlo to Barcelona is our next adventure. 

I love helping people fill their “bucket list” when it comes to travel. It’s exciting to help my clients bring these travel dreams to reality. Building relationships with clients is important to me and I provide support from start to finish.
